Saving trees transcends political boundaries. Thanks to Matt Thistlethwaite for organising an outstanding rally today to call on the prime minister to make a statement about saving the Anzac Parade figs in his electorate. Bruce Notely-Smith’s office said that he would have liked to attend, but unfortunately had prior commitments.
There are another 637 trees to be removed for the project, and 86 around Anzac Parade and Moore Park alone. There are a further 710 trees to be “pruned” (may be removed on the day – on arborists decision)
